Aquarium Drunkard Presents: Dead '72

The unreleased concert film Sunshine Daydream (documenting the Grateful Dead's historic Veneta, OR performance in August of 1972) premieres this Thursday at select theaters. Originally shot on 16mm, the film has been restored to HD resolution for its theatrical release along with completely remastered audio. To say Dead loyalists are 'excited' would be an understatement. This week's playlist takes a look at 1972 (my favorite year of the band's career) via the commercially released live recordings available on Spotify.
