Doing a 180: Jethro Tull, Warchild

Late last year, as you may recall, we released the 40th Anniversary Theater Edition of Jethro Tull’s Warchild, a 2-CD/2-DVD affair that provided fans with an opportunity to hear – and see – the album in a whole new light. At that time, we also made a point of noting that “if you’re still not hot on the whole CD thing, you can pick up a limited-edition 180-gram vinyl pressing of the album on January 13, so either save your Christmas money or go pre-order it right now.”

Well, kids, it’s January 13. Which of those two things did you do?

Neither, you say? Well, we knew this might happen, and we promised ourselves that we wouldn’t get mad, so we won’t. After all, the holidays are a busy time and there are a lot of expenses, so we figure that either the money needed to go somewhere else or you just didn’t get around to it. We get that, and we forgive you.

That said, it’s still our duty to remind you that even though the pre-order phase has come and gone, the in-stores-now phase has just begun, which means that if you’re still of a mind to get this classic album, you can pop right over and pick up a copy of Warchild on vinyl immediately.
