Doing a 180: Madonna - Confessions On A Dancefloor

Rhino has made it a point to reissue classic albums on 180-gram vinyl on a regular basis. This is the latest to get that treatment. You're welcome.

CONFESSIONS ON A DANCE FLOOR (2005): Madonna’s tenth album was also a return to form for the woman oft referred to as "the Material Girl,” featuring the hit single “Hung Up,” which hit #1 in 41 countries,” and “Sorry,” which became her 12th #1 hit in the UK. Indeed, the album’s two other singles, “Get Together” and “Jump,” were also top-10 hits in a number of countries, so there’s little question that Madonna gave the people what they wanted. And now we’re also giving the people what they want…provided, of course, that what they want is a reissue of the album on 180-gram vinyl.

But, really, why wouldn’t they want a reissue of CONFESSIONS ON A DANCE FLOOR? It’s classic Madonna, an album called “exuberant” by the New York Times and declared to be the “dance record of the year” by The Village Voice. And now that it’s on 180-gram vinyl, it sounds better than ever. It’s a must-own for any Madonna fan.
