Out Friday: Ramones, ROCKET TO RUSSIA

Anyone who’s regularly frequented Rhino.com over the course of the past couple of weeks is surely aware of our impending reissue of the Ramones’ ROCKET TO RUSSIA, but if you can just make it through Thanksgiving, then the day you’ve been waiting for will finally have arrived.

As you probably know, we’re celebrating the album's 40-year anniversary by releasing two versions on November 24:

  • A standard reissue of the album featuring a newly remastered version of the album.
  • A 3-CD / 1-LP deluxe edition which contains two different mixes of the album – a remastered version of the original and a new 40th Anniversary Tracking Mix by original Rocket To Russiaengineer/mixer Ed Stasium – along with a number of unreleased studio recordings and a previously unissued recording of the band's 1977 concert in Glasgow, Scotland. Also, there are only going to be a limited and numbered edition of 15,000 copies worldwide, and it comes packaged in a 12 x 12 hardcover book filled with photos, essays, and remembrances about the band and the album.

Not that we’re trying to steer you toward one version or another, you understand. We’re just saying that the deluxe edition has a lot to offer.
