Out Now: Eagles, HOTEL CALIFORNIA: 40TH ANNIVERSARY DELUXE EDITION

It’s been 40 years since the Eagles released HOTEL CALIFORNIA, an album which not only wowed the critics but also ended up shifting enough copies to turn it into one of the best-selling albums of all time. To add to its already-impressive legacy, Rhino has just released a new edition of the album that will knock the socks off the band’s existing fans and might just serve to sway a few more folks into becoming Eagles fans.

HOTEL CALIFORNIA: 40TH ANNIVERSARY DELUXE EDITION is a 2-CD / 1 Blu-ray set which offers a remastered version of the original album on Disc 1, a previously-unreleased live performance on Disc 2 that consists of 10 tracks from the band’s October 20-22 stint at the Los Angeles Forum, and the Blu-ray features the 5.1 Surround Sound mix originally released on DVD-A in 2001 along with a hi-resolution, 192 KHz/24-Bit stereo mix.

You’ve heard HOTEL CALIFORNIA before, but trust us, you haven’t heard it quite like this.
