Out Now, Tomorrow, and Next Month: REO Speedwagon, NOT SO SILENT NIGHT

In 2009, REO Speedwagon released their first-ever Christmas album, NOT SO SILENT NIGHT: CHRISTMAS WITH REO SPEEDWAGON, on which the band – which is celebrating its 50^th anniversary this year, amazingly enough – rocked their way through a number of holiday standards as well as few newly-composed Christmas ditties. Rhino is handling the reissue of the album, but it’s being rolled out in stages. On October 20^th, it hit all of your favorite digital services, tomorrow it’ll be available on CD, and on December 1^st you’ll be able to purchase a copy on vinyl.

For those fans who picked up NOT SO SILENT NIGHT upon its original release, you’ll be pleased to learn that this new reissue offers several songs which didn’t appear on the original release of the album as well as a few numbers which had previously only been bonus tracks. REO Speedwagon even returned to the studio to record an all-new version of the Kevin Cronin / Bruce Hall composition, “I Believe in Santa Claus,” which they did with a specific goal in mind: to create a true REO Speedwagon track which also happens to be a Christmas carol, and a holiday love letter to our families, and yours.”
