The Doors Special
Here’s the Morrison Hotel window taken from the side. When we first went in there, the guy behind the desk wasn’t gonna let us shoot in the window without the owner’s permission. And so when he left the desk – we could see him leave the desk through the window – The Doors ran in there and got behind the window really quickly. I started shooting up close like this and then my partner Gary said “No, back up, back up. Get the whole window straight on.” So we kinda got out into the street and took the shot that was used for the cover. One roll of film; took about five minutes.
