The Monkees
Tiger Beat magazine first hired me to take photos of The Monkees. When I started shooting them, I was used to shooting my friends. Most of the people taking photos in those days were older guys that would try to contrive things; I was kind of a fly-on-the-wall photographer--I documented stuff. So when I look at the second season pictures of The Monkees in Tiger Beat and stuff, I think that the style of photography I was doing was different and kind of had a warm feeling--at least to me.
