This is Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young, Taylor, and Reeves. Dallas Taylor was their drummer, and Greg Reeves the bass player they had just gotten from Motown Records. This was up at Stephen’s house in Laurel Canyon; we were just trying to get some tour photos going here. The guy in front, Greg Reeves, had told Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young that he was 19 years old. But I saw him years later and he said “Oh, yeah, you know back in those days when I was playing with those guys I was actually 15 years old. I passed for 19 and nobody knew the difference.” He was like a young wiz bass player. You can see that Crosby is pursuing his habit from the ‘60s; he’s smoking some kind of a little cigarette that he has up to his lips.
