| ![]() Bob Dylan and George Harrison at The Concert For Bangladesh at Madison Square GardenI was only there because Chip Monk was the lighting guy at that concert and I went in in the afternoon with the light crew and I hid my cameras under his light board and when the concert started I waited until the right moment and took about one roll of pictures. Because The Beatles manager, Allen Klein, was there at soundcheck sitting in a chair pointing his cane at people and having them thrown out. "Who's that guy? Get him out of here!" So I pretended I was part of the crew and I didn't dare let anyone know I was a photographer. So that was a pirated picture, but it worked out great because I was able to shoot from the lighting board which was at the side of the stage and it wasn't out in the audience like it is now. So it was the perfect way to get that shot; instead of being way down on the ground looking up. ::next |
