Joni Mitchell, David Crosby, and Eric Clapton
This picture of Eric Clapton is from ’68, and it was taken up at Mama Cass’ house. She had met Eric somewhere, and he was in town and he didn’t really know anybody, so she said, “Well, why don’t you come to my house; we’ll have a little backyard picnic.” She invited Joni Mitchell, David Crosby, Micky Dolenz, and my partner Gary Burden and I. And we all went up there and Joni, David, and Clapton sat around playing guitars under the white birch trees, and Micky filmed, and I photographed. And we all had a nice lunch!
