This digital only collection celebrates Factory Records, birthplace of Joy Division, New Order, Cabaret Voltaire, OMD, Happy Mondays and James. Founded in 1978 by Tony Wilson, Alan Eramus and Martin Hannett, Factory Records grew out of a nightclub of the same name as a showcase for local bands. This collection tells the label's story by mixing most of its hits with lesser-known classics.
The 38-page booklet includes in-depth liner notes by Paul Morley with a track-by-track rundown from Factory expert and historian James Nice.
