R.E.M. - Orange Crush

The video for "Orange Crush" won R.E.M. its first VMA for Best Post-Modern Video. It was also the first song to win in the category.

Titled for the chemical defoliant Agent Orange used in the Vietnam War, Michael Stipe once said that the song was about a young American football player leaving the comforts of home for the war in Vietnam.
