This was the first release I worked on when I came to Rhino. I had to transfer all the albums to CD right off the bat. It had to be done overnight, because the liner-note writer had to have all of it available to him. When I started listening to it, it reminded me of what I would do as a kid. I’d take my brother’s 8-tracks and listen to them in his car when my parents weren’t home, because it was something you couldn’t do with your parents around. It was like reliving my devious childhood, when I’d bypass the Foghat and Lynyrd Skynyrd and go straight to the Pryor.
