Black Sabbath On 180-gram Vinyl
It's the summer of Sabbath! Black Sabbath's SABBATH...
After a decade-long hiatus, the Ronnie James Dio-fronted incarnation of legendary metal group Black Sabbath roared back in 1992 with DEHUMANIZER. A lost classic that many metal aficionados see as perhaps the most underrated work ever to carry the Sabbath name, the dark and brooding disc connected the band with a new generation of fans. Highlights include the powerful tracks “I,” “Computer God” and “TV Crimes.” Remastered to sound heavier than ever, Rhino's reissue of this oft-forgotten metal masterpiece features extensive new liner notes and 2008 interviews with band members.
Black Sabbath's Dio-fronted line-up reformed in 2006 under the name Heaven And Hell when the singer convened with founding members Tony Iommi (guitar) and Terry “Geezer” Butler (bass) - and drummer Vinny Appice - to record new tracks for Rhino's compilation Black Sabbath: The Dio Years. The chemistry generated by their reunion led to an acclaimed Heaven And Hell world tour, live album and DVD in 2007. A new studio album - the line-up's first since DEHUMANIZER - is slated for 2009.
DEHUMANIZER has also been reissued on vinyl in all original packaging.
