It was also their first without original drummer Bill Ward, replaced here by Vinny Appice. The album climbed to #29 in Billboard, and placed the singles “Turn Up The Night” and “Voodoo” on the mainstream rock chart. Highlights also include the high-octane rockers “Falling Off The Edge Of The World” and the title track, plus the epic slow-burner “The Sign Of The Southern Cross,” a Sabbath fan favorite. Remastered to sound heavier than ever, Rhino's reissue of this metal masterpiece features extensive new liner notes and 2008 interviews with band members.

Black Sabbath's Dio-fronted line-up reformed in 2006 under the name Heaven And Hell when the singer convened with founding members Tony Iommi (guitar) and Terry “Geezer” Butler (bass) - and drummer Vinny Appice - to record new tracks for Rhino's compilation Black Sabbath: The Dio Years. The chemistry generated by their reunion led to an acclaimed Heaven And Hell world tour, live album and DVD in 2007. A new studio album - the line-up's first since 1992 - is slated for 2009.
