"essential summation" (5 stars) -- Rolling Stone

"...they were synchronized in the spirit of the Clash and the Stones." (5 stars) -- Blender

"...few approached their soul." (A-) -- Entertainment Weekly

"[Westerberg] was like an indie-rock Springsteen, relentlessly chronicling adolescence and early adulthood." (8.8) -- Pitchfork

Led by ace singer-songwriter Paul Westerberg, ragged Minneapolis rockers The Replacements are arguably the most iconic band of the 1980s underground. Over the course of seven studio albums and some pretty outta-hand live shows, they charted an evolution from sloppy, booze-fueled garage rock to some of the most emotionally engaging booze-fueled garage rock in a generation.

This single-disc set is the first-ever collection to represent both the band's Twin/Tone and Sire/Reprise eras. It gathers signature 20 tracks, including two brand new songs recorded in Minneapolis over Christmas 2005: "Message To The Boys" and "Pool & Dive."

    MP3
MP3 is a popular format used by many players (e.g. iPods, Zune, etc) and is slightly compressed. We offer our MP3s at a bitrate of 320 kbps, which is a higher sound qaulity than the 256 kbps industry standard.

Apple Lossless (iTunes, iPod, VLC, MPlayer)
This high-quality sound format is called "Loseless" because virtually all of the original sound quality is retained.

    FLAC (VLC, MPlayer,iCoolPlayer)
Different Lossless formats can be played on different digital players. Click for more details.

WMA (WMP, Zune, Sansa, VLC, MPlayer)
For music lovers it offers a finer listening experience than an MP3, and with the higher quality comes larger file sizes.
