It was always my dream to own the complete atlantic recordings of the one and only Wilson Pickett. This book (with 6 CDs) is a dream, including a track by track commentary and introductions from Jerry Wexler to Steve Cropper. The sound quality is outstanding. The unreleased stuff contains some surprises and masterpieces. Thousand thanks to Rhino for these funky, soulful and spiritual hours!!!

Although the packaging is really nice, with a great essay, wonderful photos, and useful information, it is an over-sized 7-inch package. For me this is just too big and bulky. I would have been completely satisfied if the packaging was a standard 5-inch unit like other CDs. However, I find this bulky packaging rather inconvenient. I hope Rhino avoids such excessively large packaging in the future and finds ways to deliver beautiful collector's items while keeping size to a minimum.

Superb sound quality tor real. Specially for the Brass Section, so miserably mastered in older editions. Directly from Digiprep. Remasters made by Bill Inglot and Dan Hersch, the same team that remastered RC "pure genius". The best team we can get . I've waited for 20 years. Thank You, Bill. Thank you Rhino.
When I listened to WEA UK "WP - The Definitive" mastered in Sanctuary Town House Studios by Giovanni Scatola, I was happy. With this release, with this royal treatment, I'm in Paradise. Thank you again.
