 Given that Warwick's vocal gifts so beautifully fit the canon of popular holiday music, it's almost incredible that the superstar's first venture into the genre comes almost a half century after her debut single - 1962's Bacharach/David-penned “Don't Make Me Over,” a Billboard Top 20 pop/Top 5 R&B hit - began her enduring career. 

 MY FAVORITE TIME OF THE YEAR could very well have you saying a little prayer that Warwick's stylish and soulful vocals are at last part of the Yuletide soundtrack. Other highlights include a delightfully Bacharach-like arrangement of “Winter Wonderland” and a duet with friend and fellow diva Gladys Knight on “I Believe in Christmas.” Warwick's charming and elegant interpretations of seasonal standards and carols also wrap themselves around “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire),” “Joy To The World,” “Silver Bells,” “I'll Be Home For Christmas” and more.
