NEW ORDERMovement (180 Gram Vinyl)$24.99 Vinyl
MOVEMENT, their 1981 debut, finds the group exploring the future after Joy Division with darkly melodic stand-outs including "Truth," "Denial" and "Dreams Never End." This is the first step in the transition from the tragically ended Joy Division into New Order, and the first glimpse of the band that would redefine dance and rock music. New Order formed in Manchester, U.K. in 1980, rising from the ashes of Joy Division after lead singer Ian Curtis' tragic death. Guitarist Bernard Sumner took on vocal duties, and with drummer Stephen Morris, bassist Peter Hook and keyboardist Gillian Gilbert, the group became one of the biggest British acts of their era. Pioneering the fusion of new wave, alt-rock, electronica, synth-pop, house and club music, their unique sound was as thought-provoking and soulful as it was dancefloor-ready. Selection # 45089 You really should take a look at these: |
