An icon of new jack swing, Harlem-born Keith Sweat burst onto the urban scene in 1987 with his triple-platinum debut, Make It Last Forever, which went to #1 on the R&B chart and featured the mega-single "I Want Her." His next four albums -- I'll Give All My Love To You (1990), Keep It Comin' (1991), Get Up On It (1994), and Keith Sweat (1996) -- also topped the R&B charts. While legions of new jack soundalikes inevitably followed, none of them matched Sweat's mastery of the slow jam.
