CHICAGOThe Chicago Transit Authority$34.98 Vinyl $7.98 CD Formed in its namesake city in 1967, Chicago is the first American band ever to send albums into Billboard's pop Top 40 for five consecutive decades. It all began with their now-classic 1969 debut CHICAGO TRANSIT AUTHORITY, a double album that climbed to #17. Rhino's expansion and upgrade of Chicago's catalog continues with a new reissue of this double platinum masterpiece on 180 gram vinyl. Remastered from the original analog tapes, the two-LP set-“Only the beginning” of a still-enduring career-features deluxe gatefold packaging. Powered by the founding Chicago lineup of Peter Cetera, Terry Kath, Robert Lamm, Lee Loughnane, James Pankow, Walter Parazaider and Daniel Seraphine, CHICAGO TRANSIT AUTHORITY introduced the Top 10 singles “Beginnings” and “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It is?” as well as the #24 hit “Questions 67 and 68.” Highlights also include a cover of Steve Winwood's “I'm A Man;” “Prologue, August 29, 1968” (recorded at the Democratic convention) and an almost 15-minute live take on “Liberation.” CHICAGO TRANSIT AUTHORITY is also available on CD. Selection # 76171 You really should take a look at these:
