Grateful Dead - One From The Vault
GRATEFUL DEAD
One From The Vault

The physical version of this title is not currently available for sale on Rhino.com

EXCLUSIVELY AVAILABLE AT WWW.DEAD.NET

Grateful Dead launched a musical revolution in 1991 with its brief but beloved From The Vault series. The high-quality soundboard recordings of fan-favorite shows not only delighted Dead Heads everywhere, but also inspired artists like Neil Young, Bob Dylan and Pearl Jam to follow suit with releases of their own classic concerts. ONE FROM THE VAULT features the Dead's August 13, 1975 performance at The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, CA and features members Garcia, Weir, Keith Godchaux, Kreutzmann, Lesh, Donna Godchaux and Mickey Hart. The show takes place shortly after the Dead finished recording Blues For Allah and launching its own record label, and captures the band ready to celebrate. The show opened with the band ripping through side one of Blues For Allah - “Help On The Way/Slipknot,” “Franklin's Tower,” “King Solomon's Marbles,” “Stronger Than Dirt (Milkin' The Turkey)” and “The Music Never Stopped” - while mixing in “Around & Around” and “Eyes Of The World.”

The second disc pulls together the flip-side of Blues For Allah with performances of the title track, “Crazy Fingers,” “Sage And Spirit,” “Sand Castles and Glass Camels” and “Unusual Occurrences In The Desert.” The Dead also performed an amazing cover of Johnny Cash's “Big River” along with live staples “Sugaree” and “U.S. Blues.”
