WINGERThe Very Best Of Winger (Greatest Hits)$11.98 CD Named for bassist and vocalist Kip Winger - formerly with Alice Cooper's band - pop metal/hard rock outfit Winger scored a number of memorable late '80s/early '90s hits, all included among the sixteen stand-outs on this single-disc compilation. Formed in New York City in 1986, Winger achieved platinum success with their self-titled Atlantic Records debut album two years later. The disc climbed to #21 on the Billboard 200 and featured the recurrent MTV favorites and Top 20 radio hits “Seventeen” and “Headed For A Heartbreak.” Their 1990 follow-up In The Heart Of The Young performed equally well, delivering the power ballad “Miles Away,” featured here along with “Can't Get Enuff,” “Madalaine” and more.
