 Named for bassist and vocalist Kip Winger - formerly with Alice Cooper's band - pop metal/hard rock outfit Winger scored a number of memorable late '80s/early '90s hits, all included among the sixteen stand-outs on this single-disc compilation. 

 Formed in New York City in 1986, Winger achieved platinum success with their self-titled Atlantic Records debut album two years later. The disc climbed to #21 on the Billboard 200 and featured the recurrent MTV favorites and Top 20 radio hits “Seventeen” and “Headed For A Heartbreak.” Their 1990 follow-up In The Heart Of The Young performed equally well, delivering the power ballad “Miles Away,” featured here along with “Can't Get Enuff,” “Madalaine” and more. Selections from Pull ('93) include “Down Incognito” and “Junkyard Dog (Tears On Stone).”
