THE REPLACEMENTSTim (Expanded & Remastered)$18.98 CD “TIM, the Replacements' most focused and consistent album (and first for a major label) sounds as if it were made by the last real band in the world.” After emerging from and defining the Minneapolis music scene of the early 1980s and issuing a series of seminal releases on Twin/Tone, The Replacements signed to Sire Records mid-decade. The first of their four now-classic full-lengths for the label, TIM was also the band's last album fueled by the legendary original line-up of lead singer and songwriter Paul Westerberg, Chris Mars (drums) and brothers Bob and Tommy Stinson (guitar and bass, respectively). Rhino's newly REMASTERED & EXPANDED edition of this 1985 tour de force features the original 11-song set plus 6 previously unreleased bonus tracks. Produced by original Ramones drummer Tommy Erdelyi, TIM is #136 on Rolling Stone's list of the “500 Greatest Albums Of All Time” - upon its 1985 release, the magazine noted, “they grab the heart with the compassionate yet bratty conviction of their songs.” Highlights include “Bastards Of Young,” “Hold My Life,” “Kiss Me On The Bus” and “Left Of The Dial,” a song that liner notes writer Bob Mehr says, “would go on to become a byword for the American indie rock culture.” Previously unissued bonus rarities include three tracks recorded at a 1985 session with Westerberg's idol, Alex Chilton, among them an electric outtake of “Can't Hardly Wait.” TIM is also available on 180-gram virgin vinyl from Rhino, minus the bonus material. *previously unissued recording Selection # 513983 ::Watch Videos By The Replacements You really should take a look at these:
