Book Of Love
Book Of Love and Sire labelmates Depeche Mode were opposite sides of the synth-pop coin in the mid-1980s; the Philadelphia quartet was predominantly female, and their music much lighter in tone than the British foursome. Book Of Love's eponymous debut was released 40 years ago today, and it belongs in every dance-pop fan's music library. Susan Ottaviano's breathy vocals anchor hummable tracks like “You Make Me Feel So Good” - reaching Top 40 radio - “Boy” and “I Touch Roses” (both of which got plenty of college and club play). BOOK OF LOVE will get its first official vinyl reissue since its original release, newly remastered and pressed on crystal-clear vinyl.
