The Doors made their first trip outside the U.S. in 1968, near the height of their popularity and driven to top the Jefferson Airplane (with whom they shared the bill on a couple of stops), The Doors were electrifying on their European tour. LIVE IN COPENHAGEN, 1968 features the L.A. quartet’s September 17th early show at the city’s Falkoner Centret in its entirety, pairing classics like “Light My Fire” and then-current hit “Hello, I Love You” with such deeper cuts as a full version of “Alabama Song (Whisky Bar)” and “The Wasp (Texas Radio & The Big Beat),” which wouldn’t see release until L.A. WOMAN. Originally a limited edition Record Store Day release, LIVE IN COPENHAGEN, 1968 captures Jim Morrison and company at their most focused and forceful – it’s a must for fans of the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers.
