By the time of SHOCK N Y’ALL, Toby Keith was a commercial force to be reckoned with - the 2003 collection was his third multi-Platinum album in a row. The set topped the Billboard 200 chart, and each of its singles reached No.1 on the magazine’s Country chart: “I Love This Bar,” “American Soldier” and “Whiskey Girl.” The 10 studio cuts (and two live bonus tracks sung with frequent collaborator Scotty Emerick) are both well-crafted and tough as nails, bringing outlaw country into the new millennium.
