STRANGE LITTLE GIRLS remains one of Tori Amos’ most striking and conceptually ambitious works. The 2001 collection reinterpreted a dozen songs written by men, shifting them to a female perspective through one of 12 personas Amos created for the project. Recorded with longtime collaborators Matt Chamberlain (drums), Jon Evans (bass), Adrian Belew (guitar) and John Philip Shenale (arrangements), the album features songs ranging from the Beatles and Depeche Mode to Tom Waits and the Velvet Underground. The Grammy-nominated set debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200, and a new Expanded Edition of STRANGE LITTLE GIRLS combines the original album and B-sides with two unreleased covers from the sessions.
