Filmmaker Tim Burton and composer Danny Elfman had been collaborating for nearly 20 years when they teamed in 2005 for CORPSE BRIDE. Set in 1880s England, the stop-motion animated hit follows a young man who accidentally ties the knot with the titular character; their relationship shifts back and forth between the lands of the living and the dead, accompanied by music ranging from somber to romantic to zany. Along with instrumental pieces, the original motion picture soundtrack includes songs featuring such voice actors as Helena Bonham Carter and Albert Finney as well as Elfman himself (in the guise of skeletal New Orleans jazz singer Bonejangles).
