Gone Digital: Todd Rundgren, THE WANT OF A NAIL (with Bobby Womack) (Official Music Video)

Another week, another exceedingly cool Todd Rundgren music video has been unearthed from the vaults and shared in an official capacity. This time, we turn to his 1989 album, Nearly Human, and the debut single from the LP: "The Want of a Nail." It was Rundgren's first full-length in four years, and the lead single featured a very special guest: legendary soul singer, Bobby Womack. The powerful and bombastic track went on to be Rundgren's last single to rock the charts, peaking at #15 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay Chart for the week of July 1, 1989. The #1 song on the chart that week: Don Henley's "The End of the Innocence." "The Want of a Nail" arrived with an in-studio style music video, with Rundgren, Womack and a cast of musical characters belting out the tune. Watch it below.
