Now Available: Fleetwood Mac, 1969-1974 and 1973-1974

Fact: you can never have enough Fleetwood Mac.

Okay, maybe you could, but it certainly doesn’t feel like there’s a finite number of songs that you can handle hearing, which is why Rhino is happy to tell you about two new Fleetwood Mac sets that have just hit stores.

First up, there’s the 8-CD box set entitled 1969-1974, which – as you might reasonably suspect – contains all seven of the band’s studio albums from that period, a number of bonus tracks, and the real selling point for fans, a previously-unreleased concert from 1974, recorded only months before Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined the band. Since we know now everyone can reel off the titles of the seven albums housed within this set, we’ll offer them up for you: THEN PLAY ON; KILN HOUSE; FUTURE GAMES; BARE TREES; PENGUIN; MYSTERY TO ME; and HEROES ARE HARD TO FIND.

The other new release is entitled 1973-1974, and it’s a vinyl set. To be more specific, it’s a 4-LP set   - the LPs being PENGUIN, MYSTERY TO ME, HEROES ARE HARD TO FIND, and the new, previously-unreleased live album –  that also includes a 7” single containing “For Your Love (Mono Promo Edit”) on Side A and the previously-unreleased “Good Things (Come to Those Who Wait)” on Side B.

Quick caveat: there’s also a limited edition version of this set that’s been released on colored vinyl, and while you can get the regular-vinyl version at your record retailer of choice, if you want the colored vinyl version, that’s a straight-up Rhino.com exclusive.
