Now Streaming: Ramones, “Why Is It Always This Way?”

Everyone has their flaws, but if you were to try and nail down which ones the Ramones were guilty of possessing, your resulting list likely wouldn’t feature the words “insufficiently prolific.” For proof, just take a look at their output in 1977: they released not one but two studio albums.

Earlier this year, we celebrated the 40^th anniversary of the first of those two albums, LEAVE HOME, and later this month we’re celebrating the 40^th anniversary of the other one, ROCKET TO RUSSIA.

On November 24^th, Rhino is issuing ROCKET TO RUSSIA: 40^TH ANNIVERSARY DELUXE EDITION, a 3-CD / 1-LP set which features two different mixes of the album (a remastered version of the original album and a new 40^th Anniversary Tracking Mix by original engeiner/mixer Ed Stadium), a number of unreleased studio recordings, and a previously-unissued recording of the band’s 1977 concert in Glasgow, Scotland.
