Aretha Franklin, Atlantic Record 1960s Collection

Yes, we know we just wrote about Aretha yesterday, and if you read that piece about her Christmas album coming to vinyl, then you also know that we took a moment to write about how Friday would be bringing a non-Christmas-centric Aretha release to stores.

Well, since today’s Friday, it bears repeating: as of now, you can pick up your very own copy of Aretha’s ATLANTIC RECORDS 1960S COLLECTION, a six-LP box set which includes her first five studio albums with Atlantic, along with an additional LP featuring demos and outtakes.

Want to know the titles of the album? We can oblige.

  • I NEVER LOVED A MAN THE WAY I LOVE YOU
  • ARETHA ARRIVES
  • LADY SOUL
  • ARETHA NOW
  • SOUL ‘69

Classics, the lot of ‘em.

The set features all six albums pressed on 140-gram vinyl, so you know it’s going to sound better than any of these LPs has sounded before. The only catch: there are only 5,000 copies being pressed, so if you’re looking to upgrade your Aretha LP collection, then you’d better move fast!
