On this day in 2000, Red Hot Chili Peppers won Best Rock Band at the MTV Europe Awards. At the time, RHCP had just recently released their seventh studio album CALIFORNICATION. The album sold over over 16 million copies worldwide. Enjoy "Scar Tissue," which scored a Grammy Award for Best Rock Song in 2000 and spent a then-record of 16 consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart.
