Album of the Day

Recorded with producers Danny Tenaglia and Chris Porter, BILINGUAL was the sixth studio album to be released by British hitmakers Pet Shop Boys. As its title suggests, the sounds of Latin America are among the collection's many influences, due partly to the Spanish and Latin music that PSB's Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe had been listening to prior to recording the album. The subtle and sophisticated set was a UK Top 5 record upon release and included five UK Top 20 singles: “Before,” “Se a vida é (That's the Way Life Is),” “Single-Bilingual,” “A Red Letter Day” and “Somewhere.” Released 25 years ago today, BILINGUAL spells dance-pop magic in any language.
