Van Halen played its first show with Sammy Hagar on this day in 1986, and LIVE: RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW captures that line-up in action on the band's first-ever concert release. The double-disc collection was recorded at two May 1992 shows in Fresno, California's Selland Arena and includes performances of almost all the songs from the then-current FOR UNLAWFUL CARNAL KNOWLEDGE album, several numbers from the David Lee Roth era and even a couple of Hagar solo selections. The singing and playing – particularly Eddie Van Halen's guitar work – are terrific, and the Warner Bros. collection made the Top 10 on its way to a double-Platinum R.I.A.A. certification. LIVE: RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW will be available on red vinyl as a 4-LP set for Record Store Day 2023.
