Rock Hall 2023

It's that time of year again: the latest round of nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are here. The Rock Hall announced a lineup that numbers at 14 nods officially, but 15 acts overall. More on that later. For now, here's the latest crop of nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Class of 2023:

Kate Bush
Missy Elliott
Iron Maiden
Joy Division/New Order
Cyndi Lauper
Willie Nelson
The Spinners
Warren Zevon
Sheryl Crow
George Michael
Rage Against The Machine
Soundgarden
A Tribe Called Quest
The White Stripes

Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliott, Joy Division/New Order, Cyndi Lauper, George Michael, Willie Nelson, The White Stripes and Warren Zevon are all first-time nominees. The White Stripes and Missy Elliott both snagged nominations in their first year of eligibility.

Skewing the number of nominees this year is a two-for-one nomination that bundles Joy Division and New Order into a single nom; both acts would be inducted concurrently.

Inductees will be announced in May, with the induction ceremony happening sometime in the fall. Fan voting is now open. The top five artists selected through fan voting will be tallied along with the ballots from the Rock Hall’s international voting body to determine the Class of 2023. Fans can vote online (every day!) through April 28 at vote.rockhall.com.
