DB BOX 5

It's Christmas time, there's no need to be afraid... of giving the perfect gift! Which, of course, is always music. Take the reigning Anglophiles in your life. You know who I'm talking about: has never been to England, but collects photos of vintage Aston Martins, calls soccer "football," and signs off with, "Cheers, mate!" We love them! Which is why we want to hit them with something really good for the gift-giving seasons. Here are a couple of collections sure to put smiles on their faces when they open them.

David Bowie, BRILLIANT ADVENTURE (1992-2001)
Even more evidence that Bowie was an artist who never stopped taking chances and pushing things forward is this collection of albums produced throughout the 1990s and into the new millennium. The box set includes newly remastered versions, with input from the original producers and collaborators, of some of Bowie’s most underrated and experimental material: BLACK TIE WHITE NOISE, THE BUDDHA OF SUBURBIA (available on vinyl for the first time in nearly 30 years), 1.OUTSIDE, EARTHLING and 'hours…' along with the expanded live album BBC RADIO THEATRE, LONDON, JUNE 27, 2000, the non-album / alternative version / B-sides and soundtrack music compilation RE:CALL 5 and the legendary previously unreleased TOY. The set arrives on November 26, 2021. Presale is happening now. Vinyl edition here.

DM 101 DELUXE

Depeche Mode, 101 (Deluxe Edition)
What a moment in time. By the late 1980s, UK act Depeche Mode's underground popularity in America had swelled to epic proportions. On December 3, 2021, Depeche Mode will release a newly upgraded expanded definitive box set edition of the 101 documentary concert film and live album chronicling the 101st and final performance of the band's Music For The Masses world tour, recorded live at the Pasadena Rose Bowl on June 18, 1988. This new HD edition has been meticulously upgraded using 4k scans of the original film reels to create an all-new viewing experience. The 101 Blu-ray includes three previously unseen bonus performances of "A Question of Lust," "Sacred" and "Something To Do" plus the official promotional video for "Everything Counts." Additional contents in the new, limited edition Depeche Mode 101 box set include: a 48 page behind-the-scenes story of the day photo book; a 20" x 30" replica of original US theatrical release movie poster; a 16 page Anton Corbijn Photo Mode book as featured in the original album release; a double CD of the original 20 track 101 concert release; and a Download Card providing access to 4K downloads of the film and bonus performances plus 24-bit audio files of the 101 concert release. The two DVDs in the set contain the original extras from the 2003 DVD release of Depeche Mode - 101, which are exclusive to the DVD discs. Pre-order here.
