Grateful Dead, Christine McVie Lauded with 2023 GRAMMY Nominations

The 2023 GRAMMY nominations are in, and Fleetwood Mac's Christine McVie and the Grateful Dead are both up for awards on music's biggest night on February 5, 2023.

The Grateful Dead are nominated in the category of Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package for the gorgeous IN AND OUT OF THE GARDEN: MADISON SQUARE GARDEN '81, '82, '83. The release was featured on the Good Ol' Grateful Deadcast. The dream team of art directors Lisa Glines, Doran Tyson and Dave Van Patten are nominated for the award. The Dead will be up against releases by They Might Be Giants (Book), Black Pumas (Black Pumas - Collector’s Edition Box Set), Danny Elfman (Big Mess), and the compilation Artists Inspired by Music: Interscope Reimagined.

For Christine McVie,  "Songbird (Orchestral Version)," taken from her first solo music compilation, Songbird, is nominated in the Best Arrangements, Instruments and Vocals category. The nomination is for the orchestral arranger,Vince Mendoza. McVie's competition in the category: Becca Stevens & Attacca Quartet, "2 + 2 = 5" (Arr. Nathan Schram), Cécile McLorin Salvant - "Optimistic Voices / No Love Dying," Jacob Collier Featuring Lizzy McAlpine & John Mayer, "Never Gonna Be Alone," and Louis Cole, "Let It Happen."

We'll find out who gets to take home the big prizes on GRAMMY night, February 5, 2023, from Los Angeles.
