Christine McVie is back. The legendary Fleetwood Mac singer/songwriter is gearing up to release her first-ever solo compilation album, Songbird, set for release on June 24 on 180-gram black vinyl ($21.98), CD ($14.98), and digitally. In addition, a limited-edition sea-foam green vinyl version will also be available from Rhino.com, with pre-orders available now.

As the June 24 release grows closer, McVie has shared a track from the collection: "Songbird (Orchestral)," a new symphonic version of the 1976 Fleetwood Mac tune she penned for the blockbuster Rumours album. The updated version features a string arrangement by composer and arranger Vince Mendoza, with McVie working with legendary producer Glyn Johns across the entire release (that's Johns with McVie in the accompanying photo taken by Simon Whitehead). Listen to it below.

McVie has spoken to Rolling Stone about Songbird, as well as the current status of Fleetwood Mac. When the singer revealed that she hasn't kept in close contact with Stevie Nicks and the rest of the band since the completion of the 2018/19 world tour, the magazine asked point black if Fleetwood Mac is still together: "Well, not as we know it," McVie admitted. "I don't know. It's impossible to say. We might get back together, but I just couldn't say for sure.
